Abhijit V Banerjee and Esther Duflo's Poor Economics has one interesting diagram to explain poverty traps and many anecdotes from Asian and African countries. It repeats the discussion on supply pull or demand push strategies in terms of supply wallahs and demand wallahs. Otherwise one wonders what is so great about it. The amount of detail and contrarian evidence fatigues the reader after a while.
